Market Update - Monday, 21st October 2024

Written By Diego Traglia, Realtor with Harcourts Auckland

As a realtor with a strong helicopter view of the Auckland property market, I strive to keep you informed on the latest trends and insights. Here’s a snapshot of the market performance from this past weekend.

Open Home Attendance

This weekend, we saw an average of 4.9 groups per open home, slightly lower than last weekend’s 5.3 groups per property. Although attendance dipped, it reflects the usual ebb and flow of interest in Auckland properties for sale, and the engagement from serious buyers remains steady.

Level of Enquiries

On a positive note, enquiries surged by 40% compared to two weeks ago, showing renewed interest in real estate in Auckland. This increase in buyer activity suggests growing confidence in the market and increased competition for property for sale in Auckland.

Sales Performance

It was a productive weekend for Harcourts Auckland. On Friday, we sold two properties under the hammer, achieving a 100% success rate at auction. Additionally, four more properties were sold over the weekend, with one home receiving two cash unconditional offers, showcasing the competitive demand for Auckland property for sale.

As we approach the final quarter of the year, it’s clear that the real estate market in Auckland remains dynamic. While attendance may fluctuate, buyer interest and engagement are on the rise, creating exciting opportunities for both buyers and sellers.
